Counseling
The Way Home exists to support individuals and families in moving toward healing, wholeness, and unique fullness of life, regardless of their circumstances or histories. We offer in-person counseling services for children, adolescents, emerging adults, adults, families, and groups.
Our clinicians utilize a variety of solution-focused, attachment-based, trauma-informed, somatic, and cognitive behavioral approaches. We provide foster and adoption-competent therapy, including caregiver readiness, blocked care, and compassion fatigue, as well as challenges stemming from complex developmental trauma and insecure attachments. We offer walk and talk therapy, creative wellness classes, and other flexible approaches to providing care and support.
We provide services to Georgia residents. At this time, we do not offer telehealth services.
We accept cash, check, major credit cards, and recurrent online payments. Currently, we are out-of-network with insurance providers. Our services are offered at a significantly reduced rate, with sliding-scale and full-scholarship applications available upon request, through the support of generous individual and corporate donors.
In an effort to honor the therapeutic process, we request that all parties agree to waive participation in court proceedings related to divorce and custody matters, with the exception of a valid subpoena. Additionally, we do not provide bonding, forensic, or psychological assessments. Appropriate referrals are made, when necessary.
