Caregiver Coaching

The journey of raising up not-so-typical children is many things, but it doesn’t have to be lonely.

Parents and caregivers are intimately attuned to, fiercely committed to, and uniquely equipped to raise up the children in their homes.

When we know better, we do better.

The Way Home’s Caregiver Coaching Program is designed to equip parents and caregivers in becoming the leading agents of change in their homes.

This year-long program includes the following:

For Parents and Families

Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI) Caregiver training

Coaching calls (first weekly, then bi-weekly, then monthly)

Monthly support groups

Community meals with fellow participants

Regular emails

Access to pop-up trainings on specific topics

Reduced rate for individual and family counseling

Limited tangible support to families pursuing or maintaining foster care licensure, post-adoptive families, and families working toward reunification

For Children and Youth

Monthly creative wellness classes (yoga, art, music, and movement)

6-week summer series

The Caregiver Coaching Program is built on several foundational tenants:

The Caregiver Coaching Program is appropriate for all children and families, though it is specifically designed for foster and adoptive families, families with child welfare involvement pursuing reunification or actively working a safety plan, families with neurodivergent children, and families with children who have experienced early developmental risk factors.
