About the Event

We will meet Wednesdays from 10 am -12 pm at North Georgia Church, from March 11th through May 6th. There will be no class on Wednesday, April 8th.

In this 8-week series, caregivers will gain a better understanding of the neurological, biological, behavioral, and relational impact of early childhood adversity and trauma, the importance of attachment relationships and attuned caregiving, trauma-informed strategies for addressing challenging behaviors, and skills and solutions for supporting children in returning to a healthy developmental trajectory.

This training is open to adult participants and is particularly relevant to foster, adoptive, and kinship caregivers, parents actively working on child welfare plans, and professionals who work with vulnerable children and families. Certificates will be provided upon completion of the program. Licensed foster caregivers will receive credit for the yearly required training hours. CEU's will not be provided at this time.

Training materials and heavy snacks will be provided…
